If you receive a call asking you to verify transactions, you will only have to provide your zip code and a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to confirm whether or not a transaction is authorized. Important: In one increasingly common type of scam, fraudsters posing as call center agents may ask you to verify fake transactions. When you confirm that you did not make the transaction(s), they will advise you that your card will be blocked, a new card will be issued, and they will need your current PIN to apply to the new card. Never comply with a request to give your debit card PIN over the phone to confirm a fraudulent transaction.
